Therapy

Therapy

If you believe that your child is speech delayed or may have a speech disorder, getting therapy becomes the next step. It’s never too early to begin therapy (read blog post on early intervention). The type of therapy will depend on the type of disorder, level of functioning, and availability of therapists.

Many parents have found success supplementing speech therapy with Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) supplementation. Please read our information on EFAs to see if this is an option for you.

While it is important to communicate with your child’s pediatrician or your own doctor, you are probably the best advocate for yourself or your child. Do not be afraid to challenge your doctor with research or evidence in support early intervention, speech therapy, or even EFA supplementation.
